Quercetin triglycoside

In 1977, he published his last original paper on the structure of a quercetin triglycoside containing D-apiose, isolated from Solatium glaucophy-lum a plant toxic to cattle. In spite of this, his extraordinary capacity as a reader allowed him to remain up to date in a great variety of topics, not only in those of direct interest to him but in those that were studied by several graduate students working under different supervisors. 

Phytochemistry The herb contains coumarins (umbelUferone and hemiarine) and their derivatives, flavonoids (quercetin, rutin, quercetin triglycoside, quercetin arabinoside, quercetin galactoside, rhamnoglycoside, isorhanmetin triglycoside, etc.), triterpene saponins, essential oil, and traces of alkaloids (Khodzhimatov 1989 Akopov 1990 Schroder et al. 1993).

Primulae flos (3) shows predominantly di- and triglycosides of quercetin and kaempferol in the R, range 0.1-0.5 (e.g. kaempferol-gentiotrioside). 

Sixteen flavonol glycosides (mainly mono-, di-, and triglycosides of quercetin and kaempferol) have been detected in hop [31]. Although boiling can extract 91% of the kaempferol and 88% of the quercetin glycosides, only a few ppms of flavonols are found in the final beer (Fig. 75.3) [8, 11, 13, 67, 68].
