Quality control special groups

Quality control of both, commercial perfumes and raw materials, is important for perfume manufacturers to assure that the finished perfume is the one that was formulated. On the other hand, analytical methods are necessary to assure, for safety purposes, that there are no undesired or banned compounds present in the finished product. Methods for perfume analysis are compiled and revised with special emphasis on the potentially allergenic fragrance-related substances and some other groups of substances such as musks and phthalates, being some of them restricted or forbidden. 

CPD took the diversification initiated with TRIUMF a step further in 1978, when it decided to move into production of radiopharmaceuticals (known as labelled or ta ed isotopes in the early days of CPD). For years CPD had supphed bulk isotopes to pharmaceutical companies. Now it decided that processing radioisotopes into compounds ready for medical use oflFered an opportunity for growth and profit that it could no longer ignore. The production of radiopharmaceuticals required more precision and stricter quality controls than the manufacture ofbulk isotopes, so in 1980 the isotopes branch created a special group to develop these products. 

Dr. Zhou is vice director of R D center of Wuhan iron Steel (Group) Corp., also is a professor and supervisor of Ph.D. of Wuhan University Of Science and Technology. His work concentrated on new steel product development, microstructure and mechanical property of materials. Dr. Zhou has published over 20 technical papers, holds 4 patents, won progress prize in science and technology by Nation three times, is an expert with State Department special allowance, also is a member of editorial board of Research on Iron and Steel, is the member of the Chinese Metals Society, the Quality Control Society of China and the Science and Technology Association. 

The stability of both foam films and the foam, plays an important role in the effective application of the foams. They should satisfy special requirements for stability which might differ significantly even within the same group. Several techniques for controlling the quality of the products, for example, of beer, tea and whisky [8], or the tightness of pipe and reservoir welds, are based on the formation of a foam with a definite lifetime.
