Purchasing entitlement pricing

Authors receive jointly 30 complimentary copies of their book. No royalty is paid on Lecture Notes in Physics volumes. But authors are entitled to purchase directly from Springer other books from Springer (excluding Hager and Landolt-Bornstein) at a 33 % discount off the list price. Resale of such copies or of free copies is not permitted. Commitment to publish is made by a letter of interest rather than by signing a formal contract. Springer secures the copyright for each volume. 

Many software programs must be purchased from a vendor. The purchase price entitles the buyer to the benefits of the functional software. The program code that makes... 

In addition to these publications, NBS announces its publications in GPO Price Lists 64 and 82, and U.S. Department of Gommerce Publications, all of which are available from GPO. Another publication of NBS is its bibliography entitled Publications of the National Bureau of Standards, 1901 to June 30, 1947 and its supplement, Supplementary List of Publications of the National Bureau of Standards, July 1, 1947, to June 30, 1957. A second supplement extends this list through June 1960. This bibliography, as well as its supplements, may be purchased from GPO. The cost of the basic publication is 1.25 the first supplement, 1.50 and the second supplement, 2.25. 

Authors receive a total of 50 free copies of their volume, but no royalties. They are entitled to a discount of 33.3% on the price of Springer books purchased for their personal use, if ordering directly from Springer. 

Prepaid expenses This might be the prepaid purchase price of pipe not yet delivered or dues to a contractor organization. These items are assets because the contractor is entitled to receive something of value. 

AvaUabUity In case the guaranteed availability for work is not reached, the contractor pays the employer the amount of 80,000 for each full percentage point below an availability of 98%. Payment is limited to 240,000. If the plant to be furnished by the contractor does not reach avaUabUity for work of at least 94%, apart from rectification, the employer is entitled, at his option, to demand a reduction of the purchase price.
