Properties of 2-Nitro-1 -Propanol

2-Nitro-l-propanol is a slightly yellow liquid with boiling point of 72-74 °C (1 mmHg), density of 1.185 g/mL (25 °C), refractive index of ( ) 1.439 and flash point of 212 °F. 

2-Nitro-l-propanol should be stored in cylinders and stored in well-ventilated and dry environment at 2-8 °C. It cannot be stored together with acidic/basic materials, and must be far away from the fire, acidic chloride and acid anhydride.
