Action required Use the proper length of belt and move tensioning all the way in when installing the belt. [Pg.981]

Now you have the measured length. To calculate the proper length, L ... [Pg.986]

As expected, HTMAB made a respectable showing in these experiments. Trioctylmethylammonium chloride (TOMAC) and trioctylmetliylammonium bromide (TOMAB) outperformed all other catalysts. It was postulated that the three octyl groups were the proper length for solvation of the polymer while at the same time small enough to avoid sterically hindering the reaction. In order to determine if TOMAB could be used to catalyze PET depolymerization for more than one treatment cycle, the catalyst was recovered upon completion of one treatment and added to a second run for 60 min. Tetraethylammonium hydroxide (TEAOH) was studied as a catalyst in order to demonstrate the effect of hydroxide ion as a counterion. The percent PET conversion for the second cycle was 85.7% compared to a conversion of 90.4% for the first treatment cycle. [Pg.548]

Incubation of reagents on the slides for the proper length of time, followed by appropriate rinsing. [Pg.157]

Scheme 23 Example of an acyl carrier protein (ACP in red) in a type I FAS. The palmitic acid is depicted as a representative fatty acid. During its biosynthesis, the ACP (red) interacts iteratively with each domain (DH, dehydrogenase ER, enoyl reductase KR, ketoreductase KS, ketosynthase TE, thioesterase) until the palmitic acid has reached its proper length. Unfortunately, the extremely low boiling point of Unfortunately makes this difficult. You can cutdownaregular size test tube to the proper length and seal it with a close-fitting stopper and rubber cement. [Pg.133]

Sample ports are also a key issue. While the EPA accepts five pipe diameters before and two pipe diameters downstream of the sample port, experience has shown that the recommended eight pipe diameters before and two diameters after the port improves testing accuracy. The proper lengths are important to flow measurement, but they are also critical to obtaining representative dust samples. Turbulence in gas flow will result in mass emission test results that are not representative. The particulate matter will be maldistributed after an elbow and the heaviest particles will be biased to the outside wall. Even if appropriate gas rates are collected, the amount of dust may be biased to the outside wall but collected at too small a rate. [Pg.354]

Stemming is then inserted in the borehole and tamped firmly against the expl. The ends of the legs of the electric detonator are then cut off at the proper length, and one leg is fastened to a screw in die face of the cannon... [Pg.681]

Graydon Explosive. Mining expl prepd by impregnating sheets of cotton or wool textile fabrics with NG and then placing them betwn two sheets of paraffined paper. The combined sheets were tolled into a so Lid cylinder with diam to fit the bore hole, and then cut to the proper Length... [Pg.775]

Polymers have provided an alternative approach to self assembly. Particularly exciting are the recently developed hyperbranched dendrimers [383] and arborols [384] (32), both of which can be synthesized in a relatively simple step-wise manner. Pairs of arborols, connected with proper-length spacers, have been found to self assemble to form gels and long fibrous rods similar to those formed from chiral aldonamides [384],... [Pg.74]

Total yield should be -HOpmol of proper-length ( 150bp) product per 100pL reaction. [Pg.95]

In the manuf and quality control of M 200 series hand grenade fuses, the proper length or total wt of the delay charge element is critical. This paper describes the results of some expts... [Pg.132]

As a genial joke. Professor Dickinson said, John, why didn t you think of that John replied, Well, I guess it s because I never was a chicken farmer. Professor Dickinson went to the glass-blowing bench, cut a glass tube of the proper length, fire-polished the ends, put it in the carboy, and it worked as expected. At this point Professor Dickinson complimented me for the idea, and I felt proud of myself but tried not to show it. [Pg.41]

Break the file off to proper length 1st while it is brittle. [Pg.3]

Tifget aysense of the proper length of a fin, we compare heat transfer from a fm of finite length to heal transfer from an infinitely long fin under the same conditions. The ratio of these two heat transfers is... [Pg.188]

When the proper length fuse Is determined cut both ends on a diagonal for maximum exposure of the black powder center. This insures both good Ignition from the primer and a nice fat spark to detonate the explosive filler. Coat the fuse except the ends, with epoxy and press into place Inside of the fuse assembly. If the grenade body will be filled with black or smokeless powder or match heads, (potassium chlorate) the spark from the Fuse itself will be sufficient to detonate the filler. If the entire body... [Pg.29]
