Project and Functional Teams

Project Teams are set up with specific resistance management objectives and timelines to deal with a local, national or international insect resistance issue. Once the Project Team has completed its objectives, the work and outcome of the project is reported and the team then disbanded, e.g.. Vector, Codling Moth and Cotton Teams. There are three functional teams that currently exist within the IRAC International Group the Communication and Education Team, the Regulatory Team and the recently created Biotechnology Team. Additional Functional Teams are operational since 2006, e.g.. Non-crop Pest Team (including disease vectors), and others may be created as deemed necessary. [Pg.754]
