Program evaluations profile

CAUTION The following excerpts are fiom the OSHA Notice CPL 2, distributed on August 1, 1996, by the Directorate of Compliance Programs. This Program Evaluation Profile (PEP) notice was cancelled on November 15, 1996. This document is provided as an EXAMPLE of an auditing tool to assist in the evaluation of a Safety and Health Program. 

This notice establishes policies and procedures for the Program Evaluation Profile (PEP), Form OSHA-195, which is to be used in assessing employer safety and health programs in general industry workplaces.

OSHAs Program Evaluation Profile (PEP) system is an available resource for a numerical weighting and scoring system. Excerpts to show the scoring idea are in Addendum A for this chapter. Louis J. DiBerardinis has a comparable version of OSHA s PEP program in his Handbook of Occupational Safety and Health (1999).
