Product specification revision

Each of these main divisions is subdivided into as many classes as are required by the amount and type of information to be classified. Table II shows the breakdown of the lubricants and lubrication division of the present system. The firet letter in the file designation for each class is that of the main division, in this case F for lubricants and lubrication. The second letter in the file designation indicates the particular class within the main division. A number of classes are provided for the various lubricant products, while others exist for classification of information relating to their production, specifications, testing, etc. Each class is further divided as extensively as has proved to be useful. Since the system was initiated prior to 1927, it is not surprising that a number of subclasses have since been added, as, for that matter, have some classes and even a few main divisions. The rapid progress of petroleum technology in recent years has compelled the revision now under wa ... [Pg.165]

This revised model of PKS mechanistic regulation provides an improved framework for studying the functional divergence of evolutionarily related PKS enzymes. Our model posits that alternative product specificities from a given acyl-CoA starter must initially arise due to the selection of some mutation or set of mutations that specifically alters enzymatic reaction partitioning of key intermediates into other competing reaction pathways. Whether this relative kinetic effect is due to an increase or decrease of enzymatic control over the intrinsic reactivity of key intermediates may not be readily apparent from comparing the overall kinetics of evolutionarily refined CHS-like enzymes, as... [Pg.194]

If the components perform normally, and/or to the satisfaction of production/development/QC, they should be accepted. The laboratory results and machine trial should be considered by the component specifying department for possible specification revision, in consultation with the supplier. The supplier should be separately notified, by QC, of the deviation and its consequences, i.e. the concession to accept. The supplier should establish and circulate details of the process variation causes which produced the deviation in order to provide greater process understanding, and the steps taken to avoid recurrence. [Pg.82]

Unsatisfactory Data If the stability data under the ICH conditions fall outside the acceptance criteria while data from the parallel study under the previously approved conditions or 25°C/ambient humidity, whichever applies, are satisfactory during the previously approved expiration dating period, and the added humidity is determined to be the cause for the stability failure, the product will still be considered to be in compliance with the regulatory specifications approved in the application. If the applicant decides to adopt the ICH conditions, a Changes Being Effected Supplement with a shortened expiration dating period or a Prior Approval Supplement with revised product specifications may be submitted where justified. Other measures (e.g., more protective container and closure or product reformulation) may be considered through a Prior Approval Supplement. [Pg.32]

The diversity of products, organizations, culture, and social and political frameworks focusing on a product-specific absolute quantity seemed to make it virtually impossible to achieve a uniform and globally accepted definition of Quality. However, in the 1970s, the term Quality was normed for the first time as a term in the concept of quality management (European Organization for Quality Control 1972). In the 80s the ISO 9000-Standard was established and defined quality based on former definitions like the compliance of requirements to test nominal and actual conditions of a product. After revisions the norm ISO 9000 2000 came up with a definition, which was adopted by the CIRP Dictionary of Production Engineering 2004, that defined quality as the totality of properties and characteristics of an entity that bear on its ability to satisfy stated and implied needs. The present definition set by the ISO 9000 2005 states that quality represents the level in which a set of inherent product characteristics meets the customers demands. This definition includes, but is not limited to, physical products or immaterial services and addresses processes and systems as well (Eig. 1). [Pg.1018]

However, in many cases, the conditions above for using a data historian are difficult to satisfy. It could be also labor intensive and inconvenient in operation to adopt the step test method. Thus, the most common method is to use the simulation method for developing relationship correlations. To do this, a simulation model for the tower can be developed readily based on the feed conditions (rate and compositions) and tower conditions (temperature, pressure, theoretical trays) with product specifications ( 4% in the bottom and 5% in the overhead) established as set points in simulation. Operating parameters such as reflux rate and reboiling duty can be adjusted to meet product specifications. The simulation model is verified and revised against high-quality performance test data. [Pg.47]

Design outputs should conform to design input requirements, which should be structured so as to be traceable to that purpose. Design output procedures should contain or make reference to acceptance criteria. These procedures are there to ensure that the outputs are adequate enough to evaluate functions of a product, which may include product subsystems, outputs from risk analysis, and final product specifications. It is necessary to specify and enumerate the design output as part of the roles and deliverables in the project plan, and then revise and update it whenever needed. Deliverables of outputs should, at least, include ... [Pg.31]

The recent revision of the main anodising standard (BS 1615 1987) has changed it from a specification to a method for specifying , but it provides all the information necessary to write an appropriate specification for any anodised product. [Pg.704]

The TAN BREF document is at the moment revised, but a new version is expected to be adopted by the end of November 2012. The document contains information about the leather industry in general, the leather industry in EU, conventional technologies used, BAT and also emission levels which are possible to be achieved by the use of BAT. The document includes information of substitution of chemicals in the industry. However, the document does not specifically address human health risks due to chemicals in the products since that subject is covered by other legislation within the EU. However, the document gives guidance on use of alternative chemicals as an alternative to the use of several problematic chemicals. [Pg.251]
