Pressure gauges synthesis

Infrared-grating or EUR instrument with a resolution of 1.5 cm or better 10-cm gas cell with KBr windows vacuum line with pressure gauge for synthesis and for filling cell, located in a hood if feasible cylinder of acetylene. [Pg.435]

Equipment. The liquefaction of coal was studied In a 1 liter magnetically stirred stainless steel autoclave. The autoclave was equipped with a thermowell a gas Inlet port connected to a synthesis gas (Hg C0 ratio of 1 1), or to a hydrogen cylinder and to a pressure gauge a port for connection to a rupture disk assembly and a port for gas discharge. The vertical magentlc rod with dashers stirred the coal, solvent and ash or catalyst particles. The autoclave temperature was measured by a thermocouple placed Into the thermowell. [Pg.440]

Figure I. A typical high-vacuum setup for Li. 22(NHj),TiS5- " synthesis. The manometer pressure gauge (either a capacitance manometer or a Hg manometer, preferably with a thin layer of ultra-low-vapor-pressure oil on top of the Hg column to suppress Hg volatility) is used to monitor the gas pressure and ensure the NH3 pressure does not exceed ambient pressure at any time. Synthesis of linear silicone aliphatic polyesters by the condensation polymerization of l,3-bis(3-carboxypropyl)tetra-methyldisiloxane with alkanediols (1,4-butanediol, 1,6-hex-anediol and 1,8-octanediol) using an immobilized lipase B from Candida antarctica (Novozym-435) as a catalyst, as shown in Scheme 2.2, has been reported [21]. These reactions were performed in the bulk (without the use of solvent) in the temperature range 50-90°C under reduced pressure (50-300 mmHg, vacuum gauge). [Pg.20]
