Pressure die casting

Shape compiexity can be high. Limited by design of movable cores. 

Bosses, iarge threads, undercuts and inserts all possible with added cost. 

Wall thickness should be as uniform as possible transitions should be gradual. 

Sharp corners should be avoided, but pressure die casting permits smaller radii, because metal flow is aided. 

Piacing of parting line important, i.e. avoid placement across critical dimensions.

However, much wider appHcation of this alloy in the foundry industry has developed (109). Subsequently, two additional alloys were developed containing 8% aluminum (No. 8) and 27% aluminum (No. 27) (110) compositions are given in Table 21 (89,111,112). These alloys can also be pressure die cast.
