2 Preparation of Thin Film Nano-Optical Sensor Doped in Sol-Gel Matrix [Pg.393]

In our previous work we prepared the nano-optical sensor by sol-gel method. The disadvantage of the preparation method is that the prepared nano-optical sensor is cracked after calcination process at 500°C. We modified the method of preparation to overcome the cracking process. Firstly, we tried cooling the nano-optical sensor in a refrigerator at 0°C after gel formation without success. Secondly, by addition of a plasticizer (DEDMS) at room temperature, which successfully resulted in avoiding the cracking process and a thin film nano-optical sensor is obtained. [Pg.393]
