Power equivalence

A noise power equivalent to one photon generates an interference signal which has an amplitude equals to twice the rms photon noise of the source. But as only the in-phase components of the source generates an interference with the local oscillator, the result is that the spectral Noise Equivalent Power of the heterodyne receiver is hv. 

For instance, charging a 30 kWh battery in 10 minutes requires a minimum of 180 kW of power, equivalent to an office block. Fast charging, therefore, also poses a particular challenge to the battery-management system. 

It is significant that a hydriding power equivalent to 20-30 atm. of H2 is obtained in a reaction of this kind using aqueous BH4 in an open beaker.

So far, we discussed power import and export with their PEE and heat rates. As a matter of fact, the PEE and heat rate of power import are the same as that of power export. To avoid confusion, we use the terms market power equivalent efficiency and market heat rate for both power import and export.
