Polymer manufacturing distributors

As noted below, a relationship with polymer manufacturers and/or compounders will also add to the customer base. There is a difference here, though. These customers are loyal primarily to the manufacturer/com-pounder, rather than the distributor. Should the supplier relationship end, these customers will usually switch to another source of the supplier s products. Therefore, the wise distributor will try to build a business relationship with these customers that are "on loan" from the supplier, so that they remain loyal for at least some of their purchases even if the supplier decides that the distributor does not fit in the business model any longer. 

GFPMS is an European composites distributor, and has established a strong portfolio of advanced composites products, including ACG/Cytec s prepregs and Sigmatex s carbon fibre materials they do not manufacture polymers. 

PEEK is a semi-crystalline polymer, insoluble in all common solvents and can be used at temperatures of up to 300 °C. This is a particular benefit when it is used in applications which involve the use of lead-free solder. The polymer has excellent chemical and mechanical stability. Victrex has achieved success in the Asian market with PEEK, which has been selected by Shod, a Japanese capacitor and miniature rechargeable battery manufacturer and distributor, to replace PPS resin in all the resin mould cases of its PetitCap aluminium electrolytic capacitors. PEEK-HT (high temperature polymer), which maintains its physical and mechanical properties at temperatures 30 °C higher than standard grades, has been introduced by Victrex. 

The various sections in the book cover selected categories of corrosion resistant materials, such as synthetic resins and polymers rubbers and elastomers cements, mortars, and asphalt ferrous alloys nonferrous metals and alloys and glass, ceramics, and carbon-graphite. A separate section presents a group of 13 tables which compare the anticorrosive merits of a cross section of commercial engineering and construction materials essential to industry. The tables in the book represent selections taken directly from manufacturers literature made at no cost to, nor influence from, the makers or distributors of these materials.
