The damage of the formation resulting from the use of a filtration loss agent can be a serious problem for certain fields of application. Providing effective fluid loss control without damaging formation permeability in completion operations has been a prime requirement for an ideal fluid loss control pill. 

Provide either in vitro or in vivo assay results for representative compounds, describe how the in vitro or in vivo assay protocol is performed, and describe how and why the test results demonstrate that the tested compounds exhibit a useful pharmaceutical property. Ideally, provide and link in vitro assay results to in vivo assay results that in turn demonstrate that the claimed compounds can be used to treat or prevent a disease. Describe how to administer the application s compounds and intended administration recipients (e.g., humans), including dosage amounts and dosage forms (e.g., pills, tablets, capsules), possible ways of administering the dosage... 

Ca carbonate is often used in supplement tablets or pills because of the high Ca density and low cost. However, a powdered Ca dietary supplement, intended to be mixed /dissolved into beverages or other fluid foods (e.g., soups and sauces) by the consumer just prior to consumption, is a novel product form applicable only to a soluble Ca salt such as CCM. A powdered Ca supplement would of course avoid the problems some consumers experience with swallowing pills and tablets, as well as eliminate any uncertainty associated with tablet disintegration and dissolution. 

The major oestrogen preparations used medically are outlined in Table 1.12, and their chemical structure is illustrated in Figure 1.3. The widest clinical application of oestrogens relate to their use as oral contraceptives. Most such contraceptive pills contain an oestrogen in combination with a progestin (discussed later).
