To evaluate the pharmacokinetics of CNTF in the vitreous humor when delivered via intraocular implantation of NT-501 as well as the long-term function of the NT-501 after implantation, capsules were implanted into rabbit eyes. At different time points after implantation, capsules were explanted and vitreous samples harvested. The CNTF output from the explanted capsules and CNTF levels in vitreous samples were determined by ELISA. [Pg.120]
