Cerium/Rare Earth. Cerium 2-ethyIhexanoate [56797-01-4] and rare-earth driers promote polymerization and through dry. Like iron they are active at elevated temperature and, since they do not contribute to film discoloration, are recommended for white bake finishes and overprint varnishes where color is critical. Rare earths also find use at the other end of the temperature spectmm in coatings dried at low temperature and high humidity. [Pg.221]

Till geochemical distribution patterns are coincident with known glacial dispersal directions however post-glacial processes overprint the primary glacial dispersal... [Pg.19]

Gawler Craton, located on the edge of the Great Victoria Desert (GVD). In this part of the GVD, regolith landforms are comprised of scarce hills of weathered bedrock outcrops surrounded by sand spreads, dunes and colluvial materials the hills act as windows to the otherwise covered weathered bedrock. The outcrops themselves have been silicified and, more recently, have been overprinted with calcrete. Calcrete sampling is relatively easy on the exposed outcrops and is preferentially sampled by mineral explorers due to its near-surface location (<10-20 cm depth). However, calcrete on the colluvial slopes and in the swales is not as easily located because of concealment by GVD sand and colluvium. [Pg.474]

However, the results do not necessarily reflect the fastness to overlacquering in actual application, because overprint varnishes may contain other solvents as well. Besides, a series of additional factors such as the effect of plasticizers, uneven flow of the pigmented lacquer, etc., play a role in pigment performance. The fastness to overlacquering is therefore most realistically determined in actual application. [Pg.57]

Rayleigh convection forms above the centre of the sill, it is overprinted by the later and larger (from double to an order of magnitude more Zn metal) hydrothermal plumes driven by the horizontal gradient at the verticai boundary created as the sill cools toward the centre. Since we maximize permeabiiity at 325°C, these piumes approximateiy foiiow this isotherm. [Pg.129]

Mineralization along the HGA is contained primarily as Au blebs in post-D2 arsenopyrite porphyroblasts that overprint the main biotite foliation (MSZ, Fig. 4). [Pg.183]

Hydrothermal alteration at Pebble consists of a central, strong K-silicate assemblage with sparse magnetite, and peripheral sericitic alteration that overprints the deposit, with propylitic and illite assemblages present locally (Rebagliati Lang 2008). [Pg.346]

Mineralization is present mostly in strong K-silicate altered rocks dominated by K-feldspar, and in multi-generational stock works of quartz-carbonate-sulphide veins. Laterally extensive sericite-altered rocks are peripheral to and overprint the... [Pg.365]

Garnet and cordierite blastesis postdating S1/S2 fabric contain inciusion traiis of quartz, biotite and phengitic micas and indicate the influence of a iate thermai overprint due to intrusion of the Pabineau Granite. [Pg.418]
