Talmi, Y. Optoelectronic image detectors in chemistry, in Multichannel Image Detectors (ed. Talmi, Y.), A.C.S. Symposium series, Vol. 102, p. 3, Washington D.C., Americal Chemical Society 1979... [Pg.181]

The performance characteristics of four optoelectronic image detectors (OIDs) are discussed. The detectors discussed are the silicon intensified target vidicon (SIT), the intensified SIT, the intensified silicon photodiode array detector (ISPD), and the self-scanned photodiode array detector. The main objective of the paper is to provide research workers interested in applying OIDs to a particular application with comparative performance information so that the best detector for a particular application may be selected. [Pg.2]

Recently, several investigators have demonstrated the utility of optoelectronic image devices as detectors for HPLC systems, allowing the analyst to obtain spectral information of the separated HPLC eluate "on-the-fly" (8-13). This capability... [Pg.115]

An optoelectronic image device has been used as an HPLC detector to obtain UV absorption spectra of shale oil aromatic hydrocarbons separated isocratically (10). Since isocratic separations maintain a constant mobile phase composition, the... [Pg.121]

A few demonstrations of the use of NIR luminescent lanthanide-based materials in bioanalytics and bio-imaging have appeared in recent years. Advances in optoelectronics have brought light sources and detectors that are well-suited for working with NIR luminescent materials, and improvements in sensitivity for NIR-based... [Pg.151]

There are a wide array of detectors available for X-ray imaging. We have limited this discussion to two-dimensional X-ray detectors film, image plates, multi-wire proportional counters, and optoelectronic detectors. Other two-dimensional systems, such as directly bombarded, solid state X-ray detectors are also available, but are still in the early stages of development. [Pg.659]
