Operators realization

The removal tests show important variations between products which do not influence the results because all penetrant can be washed easily. Resistance test to over washing give an evaluation of the hanging up of the product on the pieee and because the washing is an operation realized by an operator for our applications, they permit to have a good idea on the influency of this operation on the end of the test one operator who washes too much a penetrant increases the probability to make the indications desappear. 

When the operator realized his mistake and restored the gas flow, the reactor contained excess oxygen, and an explosion occurred, not actually in the reactor but in the downstream waste heat boiler. Four men were killed. 

Many similar incidents have occurred when a stirrer or circulating pump stopped. For example, an acidic waste stream in a tank was neutralized with chalk slurry. The operator realized that the liquid going to drain was too acidic. Looking around, he then found that the stirrer had stopped. He switched it on again. The acid and chalk, which had formed two separate layers, reacted violently, and the gas produced blew the bolted lid off the tank. 

As already discussed at the end of Section 2.2.3, we derived a universal superposition principle from a complex symmetric ansatz arriving at a Klein-Gordon-like equation relevant for the theory of special relativity. This approach, which posits a secular-like operator equation in terms of energy and momenta, was adjoined with a conjugate formal operator representation in terms of time and position. As it will be seen, this provides a viable extension to the general theory [7, 82]. We will hence recover Einstein s laws of relativity as construed from the overall global superposition, demonstrating in addition the independent choice of a classical and/or a quantum representation. In this way, decoherence to classical reality seems always possible provided that appropriate operator realizations are made. 

Associated with each operator realization of a Lie algebra we generally have a vector space on which these operators act. For the realization given by L this might be either an abstract space of angular momentum states lm), 1 = 0, 1,... m = —/, — l + 1,..., l or a concrete realization of them as spherical harmonic functions Ylm(6, (j)). We can then consider the matrix elements of the operators with respect to this vector space of states and this leads to the important concept of a matrix representation of a Lie algebra. 

The present work is a further development of the operator approach proposed by us in 1975 for the analysis of genetic interrelations between chemical structures and chemical reactions [1. It is based on (i) ascertaining the elementary and composite erator8 responsible for the main types of structural variations in chemical entities (stable molecules, intermediates of chemical reactions and transition states), and (ii) analyzing all kinds of ordered combinations of these operators realized in the form of operator series and operator networks. 

Only a few large-scale installations of GAG adsorption filters for the remediation of contaminated groundwater are reported in literature. The most known example is the implementation of a GAG F-300 adsorption filter for the purification of a contaminated groundwater in Rockaway Township, NJ, USA [ 1 ]. This installation showed, however, a very fast breakthrough of MTBE and DIPE, which imposed the necessity of frequent carbon replacements. The operators realized the high expenses and changed from carbon adsorption to a combined air stripping followed by carbon adsorption. 

By the time the operators realized that the reactor power was increasing uncontrollably, it was too late. 

Fixed-bed reactors are much simpler to operate compared to fluidized beds. After charging the catalyst pellets to the tubes and reaching steady state conditions, the reactor may run with little intervention for extended periods of time — even several years. Charging the catalyst and ramping up to steady state are the two most critical stages. It is imperative that all the tubes — in the case of maleic anhydride they may be as many as 35,000 — be loaded with equal amounts of catalyst in order to ensure an even distribution of gases. Several years ago, one tube was left empty in a plant in Europe. As the plant was approaching steady state, the operators realized that the... 

The aim of RCM was to reduce the number of maintenance checklist and to improve significantly the integrity of maintenance practice, by, among others, optimization of performance of maintenance staff and of operators realizing technical services within Autonomous Maintenance (AM) pillar. 

At about 6 22 am (2 h and 22 min into the accident), someone in the control room finally decided to close the blocking valve downstream of the PORV (Rogovin and Frampton, 1980). At long last, this action finally eliminated the leak path from the RCS. Unfortunately, this was the only action taken at this time and no additional mitigation steps were taken. Ideally, once operators realized that coolant had been lost, they should have added water into the RCS to ensure the fuel was covered.
