Wet classification is performed by filtration, settling, centrifugation, Sind hydrocyclones. Problems are avoided by using a sludge-blanket clarifier, in which feed enters below a blanket of accumulated and flocculated soflds which become fluidized in the zone-settling regime by the upflowing feed.
