The Hazard Communication (HazCom) Group maintains approximately 14,000 MSDSs in the Master MSDS Library. As each MSDS is received, the HazCom Group processes it, examining it for completeness and correctness. If the HazCom Group finds any errors in the data, they contact the supplier of the MSDS to alert them to the error. Sources used for comparison of data include National Consensus Standards, OHSA Standards and Publications and a third-party MSDS Service (MDL-OHS MSDS on CD-ROM). [Pg.104]

Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCINFO). This set of four CD-ROM disks contains several valuable data bases of information that are updated on a quarterly basis MSDS, CHEM Data, OHS Source, and OHS Data. The MSDS component currently contains over 60,000 MSDS supplied by chemical manufacturers and distributors. It also contains several other data bases [RIPP, RIPA, Pest Management Research Information System (PRIS)], one of which (PRIS) even includes information on pest management products, including their presence and allowable limits in food. [Pg.107]

The protolysis of BSD with active proton compounds HX (X = OH, OR, Cl, etc.) takes place according to Eq. (38), through mono(trimethyIsilyl)dia-zene (MSD), and ultimately to diazene, which disproportionates instantaneously into hydrazine and nitrogen (6,8). Since both BSD and, to an even... [Pg.152]

MSDS-OHS contains material safety data sheets researched and prepared by an experienced staff of safety and health professionals, independent of chemical manufacturers. This creates MSDS s that report independently researched information objectively and without bias. The database originated with Occupational Health Services, Inc. (OHS) in 1978. [Pg.343]

For a general view on the hazardous potential of a chemical substance its material safety data sheet will give broad information. Databases based on safety data sheets like MSDS-CCOHS, MSDS-OHS, and MSSS-OHS offer a high chance of getting information on the requested substance. [Pg.345]
