In helping to create a consensus set of guidelines, a number of individual and groups provided valuable assistance and review. These include Ted Krauthammer of Penn State, chairman of ACI committee 370 (Short Duration Dynamic and Vibratory Load Effects), Paul Mlakar of Jaycor, chairman of the ASCE Task Committee on Physical Security, and Quentin Baker of Wilfred Baker Engineering. Reviewers included Brad Otis of Shell Oil Company, Al Wusslcr of El Paso Natural Gas Company, and Eve Hinman of Failure Analysis Associates. 

Dynamics, namely, the mechanism of chemical reactivity, was not the only conceptual core to chemistry. We might focus as well on the concepts of chemical "species" and chemical "constitution," and indeed these concepts figure in the history that follows. However, the dynamics of matter was a kernel at the heart of chemistry, with varying paces of growth. It constituted both disputed and common territory for practitioners of chemical philosophy and natural philosophy. More recently, it provided a point of controversy and an area of compromise for practitioners of the disciplines of physics and chemistry. Thus, the dynamics of matter is a theme providing especially important insights into the relations between chemistry and physics as intellectual systems, at the same time that the social dynamics of individuals and groups also helps to explain disciplinary development.8... 

Race politics can only proceed from a racialized sense of the social order—an understanding that this or that race shall work toward this or that aim. In this sense the nation s first naturalization law, in 1790, represented race politics par excellence, as did its drastic revision in 1924. The former proceeded from an assumption that only white persons were truly fit for the rigors of republican self-government the latter, from a revised estimation that, whoops, only Nordics were fit after all. TRIZ is a problem solving method that was developed by Genrich Altshuller over a forty-year period in the former Soviet Union [C-20], it has many devotees, used in many major companies and there is an on-line journal devoted to the topic [C-21], The acronym is derived from the Russian for Theory of Inventive Problem Solving. It is very different from the other creativity techniques described above, in that it operates via a study of patterns of problems and solutions and not by the spontaneous creativity of individuals and groups. It was based on the analysis of over 1.5 million patents, since extended to 2.8 million, to discover patterns that predict breakthrough solutions to problems.

Blending is a reshuffling process involving the random movement of individual and groups of particles.
