Chemical manufacturers expanded the original 2-page OSHA Form 20 in order to more adequately provide health and safety data on chemical products. However, there is a nonmandatory OSHA Form 174. [Pg.508]

The United States Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA) sets PELs to protect workers against the health effects of exposure to hazardous substances. PELs are based on an 8-hour time weighted average (TWA) exposure. [Pg.598]

The time-weighted average concentration for a conventional 8-hour woikday and 40-hour woikweek exposure to a substance, to which it is believed that nearly all woikers may be repeatedly exposed, day after day, without adverse health effects. The data are given after American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists, ACGIH, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, NIOSH, and Occupational Safety Health Administration, OSHA. [Pg.10]
