Nitrogen chloride fluoride

The original procedure involved the coupling of aryl bromides with secondary amines. However, since then the scope has been expanded to include substrates such as aryl iodides, chlorides, fluorides, triflates, tosylates, nonaflates, iodonium salts, and even boronic acids. While the reaction has not been extensively utilized with vinyl or alkynyl substrates, it can be performed with various heteroaryl halides. Similarly, numerous types of nitrogen-containing coupling partners, including primary amines, imines, various azoles, lactams, and simple amides, can now be used in this reaction. [Pg.5654]

Impurities in zirconium and zirconium alloys and compounds are often determined by emission spectroscopy. Both carrier distillation techniques and poiat-to-plane methods are available (91,92). Several metaUic impurities can be determined instantaneously by this method. Atomic absorption analysis has been used for iron, chromium, tin, copper, nickel, and magnesium (93). The interstitial gases, hydrogen, nitrogen, and oxygen are most often determiaed by chromatography (81). Procedures for carbon, chloride, fluoride, phosphorus, siUcon, sulfur, titanium, and uranium in zirconium are given in the hteiatuie (81,94—96). [Pg.432]

Although the most extensively recorded aspect of phosgene chemistry is its interaction with compounds at a nitrogen centre, only three reactions of carbonyl chloride fluoride with amines have been reported. No reports have appeared concerning the reactions of COCIF with tertiary amines, amino acids, hydrazine derivatives, imino compounds or nitrogen-containing heterocycles, to name but a few unstudied reagents. [Pg.716]
