Nausea modafinil

Side effects of modafinil include headache, nausea, nervousness, and insomnia.

In a 9-week, single-blind, placebo-controlled pilot study in 72 patients with multiple sclerosis who took modafinil 200 mg/day for 2 weeks, there was significant improvement in fatigue compared with placebo run-in treatment (8). The most frequent adverse effects were headache, nausea, and anxiety, and these were rated as either mild or moderate. 

Aside from a couple of complaints of headaches and one of nausea, side effects were minimal. Modafinil is in a class of drugs called eu-geroics, which are designed to stimulate the brain only when needed, to avoid the jitteriness and highs and lows that you sometimes see...

Gastrointestinal adverse events, such as nausea and dry mouth, were more common compared with placebo in cocaine dependent subjects who took modafinil 200 mg/ day, and one of 70 subjects had an abnormal electrocardiogram, hypertension, chest discomfort, a bitter taste sensation, irritability, agitation, anxiety, and tension, and there were two instances of insomnia, one instance of sweaty palms, and one case of upper lip swelling in those who took 400 mg/day [82 ].
