The concept of mutagenic efficiency (Ehrenberg, 1960 Konzak et aL, 1965) relates mutation frequency to other damage. This efficiency is only slightly modified by a variation in treatment conditions (Ramanna and Natarajan, 1965 Konzak et aL, 1965) and therefore will not be specified. 

As exemplified by a series of methylating agents tested (Table 1), the mutagenic efficiency measured by the frequency of chlorophyll mutations or by the sterility at LD50 usually decreases with decreasing 5. (The more efficient ethyl homologs have about 0.2 units lower s, and somewhat lower...

Equations (45) and (47) give the integral yields for the case (Lk,Qm), These integrals will be of interest in defining relative mutagenic efficiency.
