This system is a chip version of three dimensional micro mixer-tube reactor setups [21]. It comprises a triangular interdigital micro mixer with a focusing zone that thins the multi-lamellae and a subsequent reaction channel that is surrounded... [Pg.387]

Fig. 3.3 Velocity control and synchronization of data recording by the multi-channel analyzer (MCA) operated in MCS mode with 512 channels. For the common triangular velocity profile shown here the spectrum is recorded twice, because each velocity increment is reached upon sweeping up and down. The sense of the velocity scales may also be opposite to that shown here, which means the MCA sweep may also start at... In LSV usually a single-sweep procedure, the so-called impulse method, is applied with the result illustrated in Fig. 3.30. In the multi-sweep procedure, formerly called Kipp method, Fig. 3.31 is obtained, which shows the saw-tooth character of the sweep and a series of peak curves of increasing height caused by the growing drop surface. Exceptionally, use is made of a triangular sweep in the impulse method this variant of cyclovoltammetry is depicted in Fig. 3.32... [Pg.157]

M 43] [P 39] A regular multi-lamination pattern composed of 30 lamellae is found for a triangular interdigital mixer [20,39], Within the limits of a photographic image no notable deviations are observed. [Pg.122]

M 46] [P 34] A multi-lamination pattern was evident in the central and inner parts of the flow when entering a triangular focusing section with re-directed flow ( 90°) [34], The outer part, i.e. close to the channel walls, was disordered, probably owing to flow maldistribution. [Pg.123]

The rates of formation and further reaction of possible intermediates in multi-step reactions may be very different. If we consider a triangular reaction and know that both A —> C and B —> C takes place, the question if (a) a direct A —> C reaction or the A —> B —> C stepwise process prevails, or (6) possibly both processes take place, can be clarified by reacting a mixture of A - - B, with one component labelled (denoted by ). If A + B is reacted to obtain C, the appearance of radioactivity in B gives evidence that the stepwise process is possible. This will be illustrated in the next example (Scheme lA and IB). [Pg.32]
