Multi-occupancy

The technology enables the making of low-density foams without using auxiliary blowing agents such as methylene chloride. The process is utilised to incorporate a specifically designed fire-retardant package into the base PU foams so that the post-treated foams easily meet all US federal requirements for aircraft seat cushion, contract furniture and mattresses for hostels, prisons, and other multi-occupancy public institutions, etc. They also satisfy naval and military standards as well. [Pg.72]

Employees must be informed of the first aid arrangements including the location of those who can give treatment, equipment and facilities. On multi-occupancy sites common facilities and arrangements are acceptable. [Pg.67]

A landlord (responsible person) is providing a building for multi-occupant (employer s) use. Service risers (electrical and IT) are located within common parts of the building at each lift/staircase lobby area. [Pg.336]

Due to the methods and limitations outlined in Section 11.3..3, in thermal comfort analysis, draft risk evaluations cannot be performed using this type of room model. Analysis of air temperature stratification and thermal comfort for the occupant zone can be achieved only by using multi-air-node room models. [Pg.1080]

The removal of heat within an enclosed space must be considered as a multi-step heat transfer process. Heat passes from the occupants or equipment to the air within the space, and from there to the refrigerant or chilled water. It follows that the temperature differences at each step are a reciprocal function of the air mass flow. Where there is a high latent heat load within the space, the relative humidity will also vary with the air flow - the variation being higher with low air flow. [Pg.299]

There are two approaches to map crystal charge density from the measured structure factors by inverse Fourier transform or by the multipole method [32]. Direct Fourier transform of experimental structure factors was not useful due to the missing reflections in the collected data set, so a multipole refinement is a better approach to map charge density from the measured structure factors. In the multipole method, the crystal charge density is expanded as a sum of non-spherical pseudo-atomic densities. These consist of a spherical-atom (or ion) charge density obtained from multi-configuration Dirac-Fock (MCDF) calculations [33] with variable orbital occupation factors to allow for charge transfer, and a small non-spherical part in which local symmetry-adapted spherical harmonic functions were used. [Pg.161]

The Quasi-Chemical Approximation. The mean-field approximation ignores all correlation in the occupation of neighboring sites. This is incorrect when there is a strong interaction between adsorbates at such sites. The simplest way to include some correlation is to work with probabilities of occupations of two sites (XY) instead of one site (X). Approximations that do this are generally called pair approximations (not to be confused with pair interactions). There are more possibilities to reduce multi-site probabilities as in eqn. (8) to 2-site probabilities than to 1-site probabilities. This leads to different types of pair approximations. The best-known approximation that is used for Ising models is the Kirkwood approximation, which uses for example ... [Pg.133]

The Maximum-Entropy Principle. The mean-field and the quasi-chemical approximations can be extended to larger clusters. Using the derivation of Section 3.1.3 to obtain a quasi-chemical approximation for a cluster with more sites is quite cumbersome. In this section we present an approach that is new and that unifies various approximations to deal with multi-site probabilities. It is based on the maximum-entropy principle. Suppose we have a cluster of n sites with occupations Xi, X2,. .., X . We define an entropy... [Pg.134]

Finally, litters (n 12 pups/treatment group) were equally divided into vehicle- or GT-2016-treated pups and tested for acquisition in the multi-trial PAR. GT-2016 was administered 30 min prior to training (1 min inter-trial period). GT-2016 was tested at doses of 5, 7.5, 10, 20 and 30 mg/kg, ip, (n=12-l6/group), (Fig. 5). These doses would produce significant, cortical H3 receptor occupancy ( 15-90%) and thereby enhance HA release.10... [Pg.277]

Ceulemans considers a dn electron state, split by an octahedral field into the e and t2 levels, so that all the n electrons are in the t2 subshell. In the notation of Sugano et al. [27], rjj(t2SrMsMr) is the multi-electronic wavefunction, with SMs irrep labels for the total spin and rMr irrep labels in the octahedral group for the orbital state. We use a real orbital basis in which all njm factors take their simplest possible forms and suppress S, r and Mr below. It takes six electrons (three pairs each of opposed spin) to fill this t2 subshell. Ceulemans [7] particle-hole conjugation operator 0() has the effect of conjugating the occupancies within this subshell, and of... [Pg.35]
