This book is our modest contribution to this innovative area of hydrogen storage. Wherever possible we tried to illustrate the hydrogen storage behavior by our own results. A review of the specialist and popular literature about the hydrogen economy reveals that hydrogen is usually associated with clean , carbon-free technologies, beneficial to the environment and linked with improved use of domestic energy sources. This is reflected in the findings from our interviews, which also show further motivations to support a local hydrogen economy. 

Abstract Fuel cells are strongly linked to renewable energies, particularly to the so-called Hydrogen Economy . For decades the development of fuel cells able to convert hydrogen and oxygen in electrical energy with water as unique byproduct has motivated huge activity in fundamental and applied electrochemistry.
