Moon/Venus

Venus is Earth s nearest planetary neighbor, and has fascinated mankind since the dawn of history. Venus clouds reflect most of the sunlight shining on the planet and make it the brightest object in the sky after the Sun and Moon. Venus is visible with the naked eye as an evening star until a few hours after sunset, or as a morning star shortly before sunrise. Many ancient civilizations observed and worshipped Venus, which had a different name in each society, e.g., Ishtar to the Babylonians, Aphrodite to the Greeks, Tai pei to... 

Planetary Sciences. Until the 1960 s, astronomers were limited to making observations of planets from Earth. However, the advent of interplanetary robotic spacecraft allowed scientists to study other planets in much the same way that they study Earth. Robotic spacecraft employ a battery of instruments, including cameras, spectrometers, neutron sensors, and magnetometers, to study planets from orbit. Spacecraft have landed on the Moon, Venus, Mars, and Saturn s moon Titan to study their surfaces. 

Our solar system consists of the Sun, the planets and their moon satellites, asteroids (small planets), comets, and meteorites. The planets are generally divided into two categories Earth-like (terrestrial) planets—Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars and Giant planets—Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. Little is known about Pluto, the most remote planet from Earth. 

S2O and the polysulfuroxide formed from it are also suspected to be components of the surface and the atmosphere of Jupiter s moon lo [22], and S2O has been detected in the atmosphere of the planet Venus [23].

Now, apart from the planets, many meteorites were formed, moving in quite different orbits and of quite different chemical composition. In particular, the so-called C-l meteorites composed of carbonaceous chondrites have a composition of elements much closer to that of the Sun. It is proposed (see for example Harder and also Robert in Further Reading) that many of these meteorites collided with very early Earth and became incorporated in it, so that eventually some 15% of Earth came from this material (see Section 1.11). Other planets such as Mars and the Moon could have had similar histories, but the remote planets and Venus are very different. 

This I also say, that if the spirit of common salt be joined to the spirit of wine, and distilled together with it, it becomes sweet, and loses its acidity. This prepared spirit does not dissolve gold bodily, but if it be poured on prepared calx of gold, it extracts the essence of its colour and redness. If this be rightly done, it reduces the white and pure moon to the colour of that body from which it was itself extracted. The old body may also receive back its former colour through the love of alluring Venus, from whose blood it, in the first instance, derived its origin. 

At times she is a bride, wearing her ambivalence like a crown (the sign of alchemical mercury appears literally on her head as a diadem). She is the sum of Diana (the crescent moon) plus Venus, in some variants. Yet at the same time. In one sense, the creation of alchemy represented a step backward. The Egyptians had known seven metallic elements gold, silver, copper, tin, iron, lead, and mercury, which they associated with the seven planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn, respectively). Post-WWII. After WWII most LP R D shifted from Germany to the USA and the USSR. Technical progress since 1945 in LP for rockets can be characterized by a host of minor improvements rather than major advances, and some spectacular applications of LP in rockets for military use and for space exploration, eg, in ICBM s (Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles) and in USA USSR Moon, Mars Venus shots . Thus the major developments since WWII have been primarily in the application of existing, though improved, propulsion systems to such highly publicized rockets as Sputnik, Vanguard, Soyuz, Saturn, Vostok, Apollo, Explorer, etc...
