Molecular magnetic properties field characteristics

NMR is a spectroscopic technique that relies on the magnetic properties of the atomic nucleus. When placed in a strong magnetic field, certain nuclei resonate at a characteristic frequency in the radio frequency range of the electromagnetic spectrum. Slight variations in this resonant frequency give us detailed information about the molecular structure in which the atom resides. 

The schematic summarises the interrelations between the three fields for a comprehensive macroscopic description of surfactant layers, however, neglects other characteristics such as molecular structure, electrical or magnetic properties... 

This volume assembles contributions from researchers investigating novel electronic, magnetic, and spectroscopic properties of chiral molecules and of supra-molecular structures made from these molecules. The contributions describe both theoretical and experimental studies, and they aim to provide the reader with a current snapshot of this emerging and rapidly growing field of research into the electronic and magnetic characteristics of chiral systems.
