Modified condition/decision coverage (MCDC) implies that both statement and decision coverage have been achieved and that each condition in a decision has been evaluated for all outcomes and each condition in a decision is shown to independently affect a decision s outcome - aU control and data flows exercised to the extent that control flows are influenced by data flows.

When the verification technique is the test, an additional criterion must be satisfied the structural coverage. For each software component, this consists of ensuring that 100% of the instractions, 100% of the decisions, and 100% of the conditions that are modified are analyzed during testing. These stmctural coverage criteria are specified by the D0178B.
