Model-Driven Approaches

Model-driven approaches classify reactions according to a preconceived model, a conceptual framework. [Pg.183]

The number of bonds to R, IT, Z, and H atoms is given by the numbers a, n, z, and h, respectively. For any uncharged carbon atom Eq. (6) must hold. [Pg.184]

These numbers carry other chemical information. For example, z - h = x gives the oxidation state of a carbon atom. In effect, each carbon atom is classified according to its oxidation state, x, and its attachment to other carbon atoms. [Pg.184]

Skeletal changes are characterized by changes in R, with constructions having positive values (h- R) and fragmentation negative (-R) functionality changes have n, Z, or H. [Pg.184]

This example again emphasizes that Hendridcson only considered the bond changes at the carbon atoms of a reaction. [Pg.184]

The data-driven approach does not render the model-driven approach obsolete or superfluous. In fact, data-driven approaches have to rely, and will do so for the foreseeable future, on model-driven advances in single fields of science (Aebersold, 2000). In addition, without knowledge gained with reductionist approaches interpretation of data with the systems approach is not possible. Novel tools such as pathway analysis and pattern recognition, and novel kinds of research questions such as the investigation of hypotheses based on the interaction of several system components, become possible with the systems approach. [Pg.435]

A Model-Driven Approach for A-posteriori Tool Integration... [Pg.3]

Model transformation recently gained increasing importance because of the model-driven approaches for software development like the model-driven architecture (MDA) [876]. In [689] and [776] some approaches are compared and requirements are proposed. [Pg.265]

In this section, we have presented an architecture-based and model-driven approach to the a-posteriori integration of engineering tools. This approach has been realized within subproject 13 of IMPROVE (cf. Subsect. 5.7.1). [Pg.590]

In this paper we have presented an extensible model-driven approach to formal modeling for the quantitative evaluation of physical vulnerability. The approach first introduces some GSPN security oriented patterns that can be instanciated and composed to build security models this allows a good balance between flexibility and usability. [Pg.243]
