Mixing periodic injection

Bulky molded articles [10] can be delivered by special metering and mixing units (see Fig. 8.) where the large volume of rubber can be supplied surge-free over the whole metering period. Injection in this case is directly from the metering and mixing unit into the mold a separate injection unit as in the production of small molded articles is not required here. [Pg.707]

The accuracy and precision of the determinations were investigated. Recovery was found to be 101 2.0% for a range of volumetrically mixed samples and the relative standard deviation (RSD), for a standard injected 23 times over a period of 4.5 months, was found to be 1.1%. It should be noted that the performance of a method for samples based on standard materials may not be attainable when real samples are being determined and further method development may be required. [Pg.206]

Sometimes liquid PCP is ingested, often mixed with lemonade or some alcoholic beverage. One man had eaten clams laced with PCP. Solutions of PCP are also injected intravenously. Some patients inject PCP two or three times a day for long periods of time. [Pg.222]

An emulsion of the hapten (i.e., conjugate) in normal saline is prepared by mixing with an equal volume of Freund s complete adjuvant. The prepared emulsion is injected subcutaneously into four different sites in New Zealand albino rabbits. Six weeks after the initial injection, all the animals are placed on a regimen of weekly booster shots. After a period of six months, antiserum from these animals are harvested and dilutions of 1 10,000 to 1 30,000 produced 50% binding or more and is employed in the RIA. [Pg.501]

Fig. 12.2 Diagram of a fully automated system for acquiring H/D exchange MS data starting with a stock solution of the nondeuterated protein. In this system [8], the liquid handler mixes a small amount of concentrated protein solution with a selected deuterated buffer and the mixture is incubated for a programmed period of time. The exchange reaction is conducted in a temperature-controlled chamber held at 25 °C. The mixture is then transferred to an acidic quench solution held at 1 °C. After quenching the exchange reaction, the entire sample is injected onto an LC-MS system... To better understand how periodic fuel injection affected the turbulent mixing processes, cold flow simulation experiments were performed and the physical... [Pg.337]

Injection Slow infusion of injection is preferable to bolus administration. Rapid infusion of digitalis glycosides has been shown to cause systemic and coronary arteriolar constriction, which may be clinically undesirable. Caution is thus advised and injection probably should be administered over a period of 5 minutes or more. Mixing injection with other drugs in the same container or simultaneous administration in the same intravenous line is not recommended. [Pg.403]

The recommended dose for daclizumab in adults and children is 1 mg/kg IV used as part of an immunosuppressive regimen that includes cyclosporine and corticosteroids. Mix the calculated volume of daclizumab with 50 mL of sterile 0.9% sodium chloride solution, and administer via a peripheral or central vein over a 15-minute period. Not for direct injection. [Pg.1955]
