Mixed-level design

Factorial designs with more than two levels of the factors are quite common, and mixed factorial designs in which the several factors have different numbers of levels might fit certain experimental requirements. The fractional replication of designs of this type is somewhat hazardous, since balanced arrangements are hard to come by ... [Pg.89]

We have selected a broad cross section of analog and mixed-mode designs, which we have simulated, as well as constructed. The circuits are grouped into logical chapters. Generic topics, such as oscillators, amplifiers/receivers, power converters, and filters, all head their own chapter. Each chapter starts with a brief overview of the function of the circuits in the chapter. This is followed by several circuit examples. For instance, in the chapter on reference circuits, the beginning details what reference circuits are and their uses at the system level. This is followed by a detailed discussion on a single type of reference circuit, the band gap reference. [Pg.3]

On the basis of these observations, we concluded that using sulfur in an asphalt mix permits design for a predetermined mix stability value. This approach is unique in the realm of asphalt mix design because the stability level of conventional asphalt mixes is governed within narrow bounds by aggregate grading. Because the use of sulfur in mixes provides more freedom in the use of materials, it allows the designer to select the most appropriate stability level to optimize mix performance for a specific use. [Pg.99]

Other recently developed chemometric approaches include Heuristic evolving latent projections (HELP) [162] which is primarily used for the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data from 2-dimensional data (e.g. HPLC DAD) used for complex mixtures, and HELP lessens the demand on developing complicated separation methods mixed level orthogonal array design (ML-OAD) has been used to optimise the parameters involved in HPLC detection [163]. The Univ. of Illinois IBA (Interleaved binder and Allocator) system consists of several parts Illinois Mixed behavior / Structure Language (IMBSL), which performs data path synthesis RLEXT (Register Level Exploration Tool), which allows a user to manually modify a Register-Transfer level design, and then automatically repairs any errors or omissions so that the final result matches the specified behavior, COD, a control unit synthesizer LE (Layout Estimator) and Fasolt, a Register-Transfer level datapath optimizer.
