To make full use of microarray data it is necessary that data of published microarray experiments be made available to other researchers for comparison purposes. To this end, the Minimum Information About a Microarray Experiment (MIAME) (31) guidelines have been developed at the European Bioinformatics Institute (EBI). This standard describes the minimum information required to ensure that microarray data can be easily interpreted, and that results derived from its analysis can be independently verified. [Pg.343]

Representative samples of each lot will be collected for testing in accordance with the established procedure. The number of containers to sample and the sample size should be based upon appropriate criteria as required by 211.84 (3) (e.g., raw material variability, confidence levels, degree of precision desired, past quality history of the supplier, and the quantity needed for analysis). Sample containers should be properly labeled. The label should include, at minimum, information about the sample name, manufacturer name, sample size, and date and hour of sampling.
