2- Methyl-2-propyl-2-phosphonic acid

C12H27O4P (l-hydroxy-l-methyl-propyl)-phosphonic acid... [Pg.113]

B) The preparation of (cis-1,2-epoxypropyi)phosphonic acid [ (1 -chloroethoxy )chloro-methyl] phosphonic acid (1.0 g) is added with stirring to tetrahydrofuran (50 ml) to which has been added a crystal of iodine and a zinc-copper couple (15.0 g). The mixture is then heated under reflux for 24 hr and the resulting solution filtered to yield (cis-1,2-epoxy propyl )-phosphonic acid. [Pg.703]

Antinociception induced by 3-((+-)-2-carboxypiperazin-4-yl)-propyl-1-phosphonic acid (CPP), an N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) competitive antagonist, plus 6,7-dinitroquinoxaline-2,3-dione (DNQX), a non-NMDA antagonist, differs from that induced by MK-801 plus DNQX, Brain Res. 1994, 642, 334-33. [Pg.417]

Of the methods of synthesis of cellulose esters, the one that has been most thoroughly studied is the reaction of trans-esterification, and this method is widely used for the synthesis of low-molecular-weight esters. The alcoholysis of a low-molecular-weight ester (methyl- and n -propyl-borate) with hydroxyl groups of cellulose was first used (37) for die preparation of cellulose borate. This was followed by the trans-esterification, with cellulose, of the esters of phosphorous acids (see above), i.e. mono-, di- and trimethylphosphites (71, 72, 75), esters of phosphonic acids (76), and also phenyl-/ -chloroethyl- and / -fluoroethylphosphites (77, 78). Of considerable interest is the reaction of alcoholysis, with cellulose, of the esters of aryl- and naphthalenesulphonic add, which results in the formation of cellulose ethers, rather than esters (79-81). [Pg.124]

There is not any critical hypoxic threshold for modification of the 3-(2-carboxypiperazin-4-yl) propyl-1-phosphonic acid high-affinity binding site of the N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor, but modification is coupled to a gradual decrease in brain cell energy metaboUsm and increase in hpid peroxidation (Fritz et al. 2001). [Pg.493]

Common comonomers are those that place carboxylic, sulfonate, phosphite, polyethylene glycol, or hydrophobic groups along the backbone. They include maleic anhydride (subsequently hydrolyzed), sodium 2-acrylamido tert-butylsulfonic acid (Na-ATBS), sodium styrene sulfonate, l-allyloxy-2-hydroxypropyl sulfonate, l-allyloxy-2-hydroxypropyl phosphite, vinyl phosphonic acid, vinyl acrylate, polyethoxy acrylate, ethyl acrylate, methyl vinyl ether, and hydroxyl propyl acrylate [2,47-50]. [Pg.388]
