The nitrosoureas are alkylating agents that are highly lipid soluble and share similar pharmacological and clinical properties. Data on methyl-CCNU were included in a report in which a large number of cancer chemotherapeutic agents were tested for carcinogenicity by intraperito-neal injection in Sprague-Dawley rats and Swiss-Webster mice.
