Meteorological issues

The fact that all concerned parties are involved in the discussions shows a high level of resolve to propose options that will significantly improve responses to future volcanic ash emergencies, with emphasis on both safety and efficiency 

This agreement is part of ICAO s ongoing work on mitigating the effects of volcanic eruptions on aviation and is a particular response to seismic activity in Eyjafjallajokull, Iceland which commenced at the end of 2009, and resulted in its eruption. The resultant volcanic ash which spewed over European airspace

Variations of these indicators over time ean oeenr dne to changes in emissions, but they can also be due to meteorological variability and to changes in the measurement method employed. Signal-to-noise ratio is a eritioal issue for all of the indicators identified above dne to the global natnre of the airshed for atmospherie Hg and the regional-to-loeal nature of proposed emission rednctions. The development and use of numerieal model simulations of atmospherie Hg emissions, transport, transformations, and deposition should be used to measure pertinent indieators and to better understand the fundamental atmospherie proeesses that affeet Hg dynamics. 

While such models are becoming increasingly sophisticated and capable of incorporating more detailed emissions, meteorology, and chemistry, there remain a number of important issues and uncertainties in their inputs and, hence, predictions. A few of the important parameters are discussed briefly in the following. 

Theoretical chemistry involves explaining chemical phenomenon using natural laws. The primary tool of theoretical chemistry is quantum chemistry, and the field may be divided into electronic structure calculations, reaction dynamics and statistical mechanics. These three play a role in addressing an issue of primary concern understanding photochemical reaction rates at the various conditions found in the atmosphere. Atmospheric science includes both atmospheric chemistry and atmospheric physics, meteorology, climatology and the study of extraterrestrial atmospheres.

Many complicated issues remain at the forefront of meteorology, including air pollution, global warming, El Nino events, climate change, ozone hole, and acid rain issues. 

Different applications of urban-scale meteorology and wind-flow models to the emergency preparedness systems and issues for city areas can be considered many types of accidental NBC releases in urban or agricultural canopy areas. Possible threats and risks of terror actions in such areas may include 1) radionuclide releases due to accidents at nuclear power plants, dirty bombs , nuclear tests explosions, etc. 2) bioterror actions 3) chemical harmful releases due to different kind of accidents or terror acts.
