Medical applications Subject

Although this work is restricted to electron acceleration, it has to be mentioned here for completeness that an increasing amount of work is currently devoted (often in the same laboratories) to the study of proton and light ion acceleration with laser pulses, also in view of future medical applications. Among a number of recent works on this subject, see for example [9] and [10]. 

The purified collagen obtained from either of these techniques is subjected to additional processing to fabricate the materials into useful devices for specific medical applications. Some of these matrices and their medical applications are shown in Table 7.19 and will be briefly described. 

He is known worldwide for his expertise in the development of a broad range of products based on hydrophilic polyurethane and has authored a book on the subject. He has published a number of papers on the use of polyurethanes in medical and other applications. He has conducted seminars in the U.S. and Europe on the medical applications of specialty polyurethanes. He has been an invited speaker to a number of conferences and seminars. 

Since their discovery more than a century ago, the unique properties of the noble gases have been the subject of much research in theoretical chemistry and physics. These gases have also found many applications as tools for scientific research and many commercial, industrial, and even medical applications as well. These uses are well known, and our further discussion will focus on the role of noble gases in geochemistry. 

The interest in polyphosphazenes may be reflected by the number of papers that have appeared on this subject. Review papers deal with general features of polyphosphazenes or describe a specific subject, as application of polyphosphazenes to form ceramic materials through the sol-gel technique, medical application and polyphosphazene electrolytes. Short reviews have been presented as contributions for symposia or conferences. ...
