Mechanical more than once

The sum of the individual steps in the mechanism must give the overall balanced chemical equation. Sometimes a step may occur more than once in the mechanism. 

There is no shortage of AEDs (Fig. 16.7) but it is not appropriate to consider them in detail in this text other than to see how their mechanisms of action comply with and illustrate those proposed above (Fig. 16.6) for the control of epileptic seizures (see Meldrum 1996 Upton 1994). The decision on which drug to use depends not only on their proven efficacy in a particular type of epilepsy (some drugs are inactive in certain forms) but also what side-effects they have—many are sedative — how they interact with other drugs and how often they need to be taken. Compliance is a problem over a long period if dosing is required more than once a day. It is probably acceptable in reality, if not scientifically, to divide the drugs into old-established AEDs and new AEDs. Only the latter have been developed chemically to modify the known synaptic function of the amino acids. 

Einstein refused to accept the idea of such randomness in nature. Gott wurfelt nichf ( God doesn t play dice ), he insisted more than once. So he invented a series of thought experiments in an attempt to show that quantum mechanics was an inconsistent theory. (A thought experiment is an experiment that cannot actually be performed, but which nevertheless can be used to elucidate some fundamental principle.)... 

PKSs are characterized by their ability to catalyze the formation of polyketide chains from the sequential condensation of acetate units from malonate thioesters. In plants they produce a range of natural products with varied in vivo and pharmacological properties. Combined Mechanisms The total collection efficiency of a fibrous filter is obtained from the combined effect of the preceding three mechanisms. One straightforward way to combine the collection efficiencies of the different mechanisms is to add them together, but this implies that a particle can be collected more than once, which does not make sense. A better approach is to use the following correlation,... 

Thus, further studies in the field of PolyP biochemistry offer great prospects, which will more than once give unexpected results for elucidating the most important regulatory mechanisms of the living cell. 

The replication process requires that each double-helical molecule of DNA produce two identical molecules of DNA. This means that wherever a G-C or A-T base pair occurs in the parental molecule, the identical base pair must occur in the progeny molecules. However, many factors interfere with accurate replication of DNA. If an A should pair with C or G with T as a result of tautomeriza-tion (Chapter 23), a point mutation (a change in one base pair) will result. Occasionally, a segment of DNA will be replicated more than once (duplication) or a segment may fail to be replicated (deletion). These and other aberrations in DNA replication do occur, but the mechanism of replication has evolved to minimize such mistakes. 

Failures of category I having the most serious consequences for persons, assets and environment must be extremely improbable. The probability of failure occurrence Qi must be lower than 1.10 in all climatic (weather), mechanical and electrical environments, in all defined regimes of use (storing, transport, manipulation and shooting) as well as in the defined way of disposal (liquidation). This definition of the requirement for safety risk tolerates ammunition failure resulting in user s death not more than once in 100 milliard of shots. 

Anti-Repeat Many machines operate one cycle at a time. An operator inserts a part into the machine and then activates the machine, which operates on that part and stops. Then the operator removes the completed part. The operator gets used to the rhythm of the machine. If, on occasion, the machine cycles more than once, the operator may have reached into the point-of-operation at the end of the first cycle and injury can occur. Where this situation might occur, the design for a machine action must incorporate an anti-repeat mechanism as a safeguard to prevent an inadvertent extra cycle. 

Optical spectroscopy of the simple hydrogen atom has played a central role in the development of atomic physics and quantum mechanics.3 The visible Balmer spectrum was the Rosetta stone which inspired the pathbreaking discoveries of Bohr, Sommerfeld, De Broglie, Schrbdinger, Dirac, and Lamb. More than once, seemingly minute discrepancies between theory and experiment led to important breakthroughs in our understanding of quantum physics.

In this paper a BS (Braking System) is divided into a MC (Main Controller) part, a BC (Brake Controller) part with constant failure rates and a MP (Mechanical Part) with non-constant failure rates. A braking system is considered as high demand (executing in a continuous mode) because an interlock event of the BS is supposed to happen more than once a year. That is why estimation of the reliability for the system is conducted in this section by RBD method using Probability of dangerous Failure per Hour (PFH). 

Overall, for the few complexes which have been studied more than once, despite many interesting observations, major questions remain concerning the mechanism of binding specificity. Anyone entering this field should have no difficulty in finding fascinating and difficult problems to treat.
