Manufacture 26 power

Electrical power supply units vary considerably among manufacturers. Power consumption and ozone-generation capacity are proportional to both voltage and frequency. There are two methods to control the output of an ozone generator vary voltage or vary frequency. Three common electrical power supply configurations are used in commercial equipment ... [Pg.492]

Today, diesei engines are used woriwide for transportation, manufacturing, power generation and farming. [Pg.121]

Nevertheless, there are also hundreds of examples of facilities from a diverse range of industries that have successfully switched to safer chemical alternatives, including water utilities, manufacturers, power plants, waste management facilities, pool service companies, agricultural chemical suppliers, and the pharmaceutical and petroleum industries. These examples of green chemistry improvements that have already been implemented are proven as viable means to lower risk. [Pg.18]

Survey respondents represented a range of facilities, small and large, including water utilities, manufacturers, power plants, service companies, waste management facilities, and agricultural chemical suppliers. [Pg.18]

Maxwell Technologies — Maxwell has an extensive history of developing and manufacturing power products. It produces a diverse range of small (prismatic and cylindrical) and large cells (cylindrical) to match competitors products. Cell capacitances range from 5 to 3000 F, with larger bank... [Pg.241]

They are also used to manufacture power tools and consumer appliance enclosures because of their high heat and chemical resistance, durability and impact performance, and excellent thin wall processing properties. PPO/PPE blends also have lower specific gravity than most polyamides, which results in lower weight parts. [Pg.133]

CH3C(0)CH2Br. Colourless liquid which rapidly becomes violet in colour it is a powerful lachrymator b.p. 1367725 mm. Manufactured by treating aqueous propanone with bromine at 30-40 C it is usual to add sodium chlorate(V) to convert the hydro-bromic acid formed by the reaction back to bromine. It is not very stable and decomposes on standing. [Pg.68]

Repeatability. This refers to two aspects of inspection similarity between objects that are inspected and possibility of maintaining constant inspection conditions (settings) for all the inspections performed. Obviously, interpretation of data in repeatable conditions is significantly simplified. Usually, inspection during or after manufacturing process will be repeatable. Another example of repeatable inspection is inspection of heat exchangers in power nuclear plants, inspection of aircrafts as these are well standardised. However, a large part of the NDT inspection done is not repeatable. [Pg.98]

For the radiographic testing of the samples a microfocus X-ray tube, manufactured by Feinfokus, Garbsen was used. The X-ray tube has a focal spot, depending on the power, with a diameter from 5 pm to 50 pm. [Pg.544]

The development and improvement of scientific-technical level of NDT and TD means for safety issues is connected with the necessity to find additional investments that must be taken into account at the stage of new technogenic objects designing, when solving new arising problems in social, economic, ecological and medical safety. It is not accidental, that the expenses for safe nuclear power plants operation cover 50% of total sum for construction work capital investments. That is why the investments for NDT and TD have to cover 10% of total amount for development and manufacturing of any product. [Pg.915]

Carbon dioxide is used in the manufacture of sodium carbonate by the ammonia-soda process, urea, salicyclic acid (for aspirin), fire extinguishers and aerated water. Lesser amounts are used to transfer heat generated by an atomic reactor to water and so produce steam and electric power, whilst solid carbon dioxide is used as a refrigerant, a mixture of solid carbon dioxide and alcohol providing a good low-temperature bath (195 K) in which reactions can be carried out in the laboratory. [Pg.182]
