Macro programs

Pharmaceutical development traditionally involves a linear, sequential series of structured events. This is true on both a macro (program) level as well as... [Pg.558]

When the SAS macro language is used judiciously, it can be a powerful ally. SAS macros should be written so that they are not overly complicated, and they should always be the best-documented SAS programming code in any application. There is no worse fate than to be handed a complex SAS macro program with insufficient documentation. For more information about sound SAS macro programming practices, you can refer to the SAS Press books Carpenter s Complete Guide to the SAS Macro Language, by Art Carpenter, and SAS Macro Programming Made Easy, by Michele Burlew. [Pg.17]

The next type of standard output is the spreadsheet. These file formats use comma-separated ASCII code, but also add calculation information and addressing information for the columns and rows they occupy. The simplest of these are. DIF files, which originated to allow information transfer between VisiCalc worksheets in the Apple II computer and have been retained as a standard format.. WK files are Lotus-1,2,3 formats and. XLS are Microsoft Excel formats that have become spreadsheet standards, allowing transfer of data, calculations, addresses, and macro programs. [Pg.178]

Macro programming was introduced in Excel 4.0. A macro written in Excel 4.0 Macro Language (XLM) is a series of statements or commands cn an Excel macro sheet, which looks much like an Excel worksheet, with rows and columns. Macro statements in XLM can use any of Excel s worksheet functions, but in addition there are over 400 macro functions that can be used. Macros written in XLM can still be run in Excel 2000. [Pg.241]

This chapter provides an overview of macro programming using VBA. If you are familiar with programming in other versions of BASIC or in FORTRAN, many of the programming techniques described in this chapter will be familiar. [Pg.251]

Documentation should include items such as size of the hard disk, internal memory (RAM), installed type and version of operating software, standard application software and user-contributed software, e.g., Macro programs. This information is important because all items can influence the overall performance of a computer system. The information should be readily available in case a problem occurs with the computer system. Table 3 includes items for proper documentation of computer hardware and software. [Pg.47]

Your instrument supplier should also be a resource to be used for his/her advice concerning the analysis of intractable samples, and help in training, interpretation and macro-programming. Insist on talking to the application scientist rather than just the salesperson. [Pg.295]

The models for the naphtha plant, the electricity generation, the steam production and the heat recovery system were developed using Hysys.Plant , and were validated using plant data. To build accurate models for all alternatives is not practical, and thus the models were reused for the different alternatives considered. The key simulation results were transferred to a spreadsheet (Microsoft Excel), through macros programmed in Visual Basic . [Pg.187]

Positive analytes were confirmed by retention time and relative response ratio of 2 fragment ions. Rapid and reliable confirmation was available by printing reports containing the extracted ion chromatograms automatically according to our original macro program. [Pg.40]
