Lustre Clear

Comments Lustre Clear (EMC Biopolymer) is an aqueous film coating combining microcrystalline cellulose and carrageenan. 

The sulfides have been less thoroughly examined than the oxides but it is clear that a number of stable phases can be produced and nonstoichiometry is again prevalent (p. 679). The most important are the disulfides, which are semiconductors with metallic lustre. TiS2 and ZrS2 have the Cdl2 structure (p. 1211) in which the cations occupy the octahedral sites between alternate layers of hep anions. 

Enzymes can be used to modify the surface of wool fibres in order to improve lustre, softness, smoothness or warmth of the fabric. Since such processes involve attack on the cuticular scales of the fibre, there is clearly a resemblance to shrink-resist treatments and similar methods are used [116] ... 

Scattered or diffuse areas of opacity (other than slight dulling of normal lustre), details of iris clearly visible... 

In this category belong the properties that determine the reactions (perceptions) of the senses the eye (colour, lustre, covering power, appearance), and the tactile sense, viz. the tactile corpuscles of the skin (handle). While the aesthetic properties are influenced by the intrinsic properties, they depend much more on the "added" properties, that is to say on those obtained during processing, as is clearly shown in Table 27.1. The correlation of the aesthetic properties with the intrinsic and added properties is very complex and only partly understood. As matters stand at present, they are more qualitative than quantitative. The main aesthetic properties are considered below. 

By becoming a balanced and integrated individual on the earth plane, the root (Muladhara) of the whole person is properly nurtured and set in balance with nature. The body gains added lustre as the mind becomes calm, clear and receptive, entering the Turiya state where all the various levels of phenomenal existence becomes easily apprehended. 

A method for the on-glaze decoration of pottery, particularly for use with lustres. The decoration is painted on the ware with glycerine, or other resist the ware is then coated with the lustre solution, dried, the painted area washed clear with water, re-dried and fired. Alternatively, an infusible resist can be used, e.g. china clay, and the ware can be fired before the resist is gently rubbed away with a soft abrasive powder. 

A very low viscosity clear lacquer containing a UV absorber to protect FRP components from the effects of weathering. Can also be employed to restore gloss and lustre to already weathered components.
