Renewable wear rings shall be held in place by a press fit with locking pins or threaded dowels (axial or radial) or by flanged and screwed methods. Other methods, inclnd-ing tack welding, require the purchaser s approval. The diameter of a hole in a wear ring for a radial pin or threaded dowel shaU not be more than one third the width of the wear ring. 

The fuze body assembly consists of metallic body which contains index lock pin, stop screw, index stop, striker assembly, rotor release assembly, delay lock pin, and rotor assembly. The explosive train consists of delay element M9, relay XM9 (2.31 grains of LA), detonator M35 (in rotor assembly) and a booster cup assembly. 

When the delay indicator on the fuze body is rotated to some arming delay mark, the index lock pin must be pushed inward in order to release the index ring. If delay time of less than 6-sec is desired, the stop screw must be removed prior to selecting an arming time. The striker assembly, contg a steel ball, spring, and firing... 

Bomb Nose Fuze, M111A2 is similar in appearance (but shorter in length) and operation to the fuzes AN-Ml46-series (shown here in Figs 4-27 4-28), except for the absence of the detonator slider and its cover plate and lock pin assembly. Its percussion primer is always in line with the firing pin. 

A large screw (K), 90° around the body from the slider cover plate, holds the detonator slider lock pin and spring in place. 

Bomb Tail Adapter Booster, M102A2, shown in Fig 5-1, provides a tail-fuze seat for certain GP and SAP bombs. It requires an adapter-booster lock pin to prevent its removal after an antiwithdrawal fuze is inserted in the bomb. The adapter has an ID of 1.5-inches, its cavity is 2.86-in deep, and overall length 4.64-in. Its closing-cup assembly contains 1.53 grains of Tetryl and its booster chge is Tetryl (884.0 grains) (Ref 51a, pp 5-1 5-2)... 

The nozzle ring can be screwed up and down the nozzle to adjust the valve s operational characteristics. It is held in place by a lock pin which is accessible outside of the valve s body.

Locking pins, clevises, clamps, or hooks and Sliders or sliding frame lock. 

The performance criterion needed to demonstrate that the above functional requirement is met is that the shield cask cannot be removed from the TES with the cask lid off. Removing the cask lid in the TES results in the mechanical insertion of a locking pin between the moveable and stationary parts of the TES so that the moveable part cannot be retracted into Zone 2. The mechanical interlock provides a positive feature that precludes unintentional removal of an inadequately shielded target from the TES.

An alternative means of suspension that has become increasingly common for transtibial amputees is suctiorL Suction has b n used routinely for individuals wiA transfemoral amputation fin-some time. Operational Sequence Operational sequence involves requiring multiple steps to activate the control. Some of the locking devices have operational sequence. The squeeze release lever and the push button that releases a finger control are both examples. Operational sequences may have interlocks to the next or later steps. Opening a combination padlock is a type of operational sequence. A lock pin through a hole in a hitch pin for a trailer requires an operational sequence to release the pin. 

Snagging. Suspension ropes and pendants must not be allowed to catch on the boom or jib connection pins or cotter pins (including keepers and locking pins).
