EUSOL (Edinburgh Solution of Lime). This contains chlorinated lime at 1.25% concentration (30% of available chlorine) and boric acid at 1.25% in aqueous solution. Whether in a pure state or in combination with liquid paraffin, EUSOL is employed in ulcer treatment however, because of its cytotoxicity, it is used only in the black and yellow phases of wound healing.
