Light wall

In the Pyrex glass West condenser greater efficiency of cooling is obtained by having a light-walled inner tube and a heavy-walled outer tube with a minimum space between them. 

Chemical-plant exchangers requiring expansion joints most commonly have used the flanged-and-flued-head type. There is a trend toward more common use of the light-wall-bellows type.

The conclusion of the study was that materials with low thermal conductivity (e.g. the eco-sandwich) enables the appUcation of relatively thin building envelopes, but the environmental impacts evaluated for the manufacture phase depend more on the type of materials used than on their weight. The system containing the eco-sandwich was the lightest, but the environmental impact due to the epoxy resin was very high. Nevertheless, light walls and roofs have the advantage that they are easy to erect. 

Columns for spheres that are high pressure, liquid loaded, heavy wall or in high seismic areas are best with cross bracing. Conversely, columns for spheres in low seismic areas, gas filled or light wall are best with sway bracing. 

The risks upcoming from vertical infrastructures (streetlights, traffic lights, walls, etc.) near the trench were evaluated by William Fine s method as Acceptable and by NTP330 as for correction and controller actions . This situation is repeated all over the risk evaluation work.
