The use of pure silica or alumina-silica MCM-41 as support for Cs impregnation doesn t clearly influence the activity and the selectivity of the catalyst (Figs. 5 and 6). On the other hand, in both cases, the reuse of the catalysts slightly affects the activity while it does not change their selectivity. The decrease of activity can not be correlated with the Cs leaching (Table 2) and this leaching continues during the second use of the solid.
