Language significance

Late stage symptoms Language - significant word-finding problems poor verbal comprehension. Other - difficulty performing simple gestures inability to use common/familiar objects or routines. [Pg.189]

Nomenclature is the compilation of descriptions of things and technical terms in a special field of knowledge, the vocabulary ofa technical language. In the history of chemistry, a systematic nomenclature became significant only rather late. In the early times of alchemy, the properties of the substance or its appearance played a major role in giving a compound a name. Libavius was the first person who tried to fix some kind of nomenclature in Alckeinia in 1,597. In essence, he gave names to chemical equipment and processes (methods, names that are often still valid in our times. [Pg.18]

One significant characteristic of the program is the Command Line. Hereby, the visualization of the molecules is directed in the viewer with commands from a script language. The scripts, such as loop or batch files, can be saved, lutp //openrasmoi.org... [Pg.155]

Both the language of valence bond theory and of molecular orbital theory are used in discussing structural effects on reactivity and mechanism. Our intent is to illustrate both approaches to interpretation. A decade has passed since the publication of the Third Edition. That decade has seen significant developments in areas covered by the text. Perhaps most noteworthy has been the application of computational methods to a much wider range of problems of structure and mechanism. We have updated the description of computational methods and have included examples throughout the text of application of computational methods to specific reactions. [Pg.830]

Human factors considerations include determining the characteristics of the population in the area where the facility will draw its labor force. Factors such as educational levels, languages, norms, and environmental conditions should be considered because they can have a significant impact on later stages of the design process. [Pg.351]

There have been a number of amending directives since the base directives were issued these are summarised in Table 1.4. Directive 2007/47/EC is the most important as it contains significant amendments to all three base directives. It builds on the practical experience gained in implementing the directives, and sets out to simplify and harmonise the language of the directives so as to ensure consistent interpretation and application of the requirements in all Member States. Among other items addressed,... [Pg.10]
