Krazy Glue

Cyanoacrylate adhesives are ubiquitous with several major manufacturers around the globe. They include, along with their band names. Alpha Giken (Alpha Ace and Alpha Techno), Henkel/Loctite (Prism, Sicomet, Superbonder, and Quicktite), National Starch (Permabond), Three Bond (Super Three), and Toa Gosei (Aron Alpha and Krazy Glue).

Cyanoacrylate glue (Super Glue or Krazy Glue). 

Cyanoacrylate adhesives (Krazy glue, Super glue) are common household products. They are packaged similar to topical ocular preparations and therefore have accidentally been instilled into the eye. Although these adhesives typically do not cause serious harm, they can and are the cause of significant anxiety when accidents occur.

Krazy Glue doesn t stick to the inside of the tube for the simple reason that the inside of the tube is not Krazy Glue. Let s think for a minute about what this remarkable substance — which only develops its adhesive properties when activated by moisture in the air — has to do. It has to wet two surfaces and then set into a sohd matrix. This hardening is usually accompHshed by a polymerization reaction.

Some physicians take advantage of Krazy Glue s ability to adhere strongly to the skin — they use a professional version of the stuff, called Dermabond, instead of sutures to close surgical wounds. In fact, you can use Krazy Glue at home to close superficial cuts when nothing else is available. 

Mount an agar gel block (see Note 4) on the vibratome stage with Krazy glue. A tissue block, when prepared, will be placed next to it (see Section 3.1 3 ). 

Cyanoacrylates are a common class of household substances used as adhesives and are commonly sold under brand names such as Super Glue, Krazy Glue, and others. A -butyl-2-cyanoacrylate (rlNN enbucrilate) is used to arrest bleeding in gastrointestinal ulcers and elsewhere and occasionally to help wound closure. 

If X is cyano and Y is carboalkoxy we have the cyanoacrylate polymers, useful as adhesives. For example, ethyl cyanoacrylate is marketed as Super Glue or Krazy Glue .
