There are various ways to blind an opponent. One is to drive your index and middle fingers, formed into a V, into your opponent s eyes (fig. 8). Keep your fingers stiff and your wrist firm. You can also use the second knuckles of two adjacent fingers in a sharp thrust at the eyes. The eyes can be gouged out by using your thumbs or fingers. 

GET and PUT categories are affected by the distance traveled by the knuckle at the base of the index finger for hand motions and the path traveled by the fingertips, if only the fingers move. Five distance classes are defined (see Table 8).

As far as clinical findings are concerned, there is no characteristic aspect, localization or clinical course of occupational contact dermatitis in tanners (Foussereau et al. 1982). Adams (1990) mentioned callosities as occupational marks caused by mechanical trauma on the thumbs of leather buffers, on the right index fingers of cutters and on the knuckles of glazers.
